Design review: the AI checks and improves its own plans
- ai
- floor plans
Generated plans now go through a review loop before they reach you.
Audit, critique, redesign
- A deterministic audit checks the plan against ten criteria — circulation, room proportions, daylight, door clearances and more — and points at the exact walls and rooms involved.
- The AI critiques the audit and proposes changes; the solver redesigns the plan. A new version is only kept if it scores no worse than the one before.
- When the AI is unavailable, deterministic fixes run instead, so the loop never makes a plan worse.
In the editor
The AI panel shows the audit as a card and a timeline. Select walls or rooms and ask the AI about that part — "make this bedroom lighter" — and the refine works on your selection only.
The review improves a concept; it does not certify it. A qualified professional still checks the design before anything is built.
DXF import: bring existing drawings into Autonieer
- dxf
- import
You can now import a DXF drawing and keep working on it in Autonieer.
What the importer understands
- Walls from pairs of parallel lines, collapsed to a centre-line and a thickness.
- Doors and windows from blocks, or from gaps through both faces of a wall.
- Rooms from area polylines, or traced from the space the walls enclose, named from the text inside.
- Units from the drawing header. A drawing without units is inferred from its size — and the guess is reported, never applied silently.
Nothing dropped in silence
Every import comes with a report: what was recognised, what was skipped and why, and every assumption the converter made. A drawing Autonieer cannot interpret is refused with a clear reason instead of turning into a plan that is quietly wrong.
Importing needs a plan that includes DXF export (Pro or Team).
IFC4, glTF/OBJ and PDF drawing sheets
- exports
- ifc
- 3d
Three new export formats are live, next to DXF, SVG and JSON.
PDF drawing sheets (Pro and Team)
A3, A2 or A1 landscape sheets with a title block, a true scale, a scale bar and a north arrow — one sheet per level. Pick a scale (1:50 to 1:1000) or let Autonieer choose the tightest standard scale that fits each sheet.
glTF / GLB and OBJ (Pro and Team)
A solid 3D model in metres, Y-up: walls with openings cut, floor slabs, doors, windows and furniture massing, organised as a named tree (level → walls → exterior). OBJ downloads as a zip with its material file.
IFC4 (Team)
A proper BIM hand-off for Revit, ArchiCAD and friends: project, site, building and storeys; walls with material layers; doors and windows filling their openings; and an
IfcSpacefor every room with its net floor area. All three come from the same geometry the editor shows, so the formats never disagree with each other.
